The Cryptic Room is a locally owned escape room in Council Bluffs, IA (right across the bridge from Omaha, NE). All of our games are designed and built in-house, providing a unique escape room experience. We have personally crafted the world of our beloved characters, Myrtle and Edward, and each of our escape rooms delve deeper into the mystery of this couple and how they may have gotten in a little over their heads. |

Great Aunt Myrtle Ethrington. Treasure Hunt! You have recently received a letter from your Great Aunt Myrtle's lawyer informing you that she has passed away. Since she had no children of her own, her final wishes were that only those in her family that are worthy and will carry on her love of games and puzzles will inherit the treasures that she had secretly stashed away.

Into the Assassin's Lair. Following up on an anonymous tip about suspicious activity at an abandoned warehouse, your team finds an office that is clearly not abandoned. While looking around, you realize that your are in the midst of what you suspect is the lair of an international assassin. As you investigate the scene, you hear the door slam shut - you realize you are trapped and the timer on a bomb is ticking…

Cave of Lost Souls. While searching for shelter on a remote island, you and your fellow plane crash survivors find a cave. Once you enter, you discover the cave has secrets to tell about the island; it's past and it's dangers. The full moon is rising and the tide is going out. You can hear a horrible roar in the distance - something is coming. Can you signal for help and be rescued before you become the hunted?

CORE Intruders. You and your team, along with a hacker have been hired to break into C.O.R.E. Technologies and retrieve a very important piece of technology. You know the doctor and his assistant are at a lunch meeting and your hacker has the security software under control. However, there is nothing you can do about the patrols of on-site security but your hacker can warn you when they are coming.
